Our monthly £300+£25 FPC Main Event is now played to a finish over two days. Last month it attracted 148 of London and UK’s best poker players with Fox Poker Club members qualifying for as little as $3.81 online with PKR. Hakim Bouzoura was crowned champion after agreeing a deal with club regular James “Barney” Koumis.
The growth of the FPC Main Event as one of the countries most popular regular poker tournaments has cemented the Fox Poker Club’s reputation as a serious poker venue. The club which is looking forward to it’s first birthday in September now offers 24 hour cash action and over £1.5 million pounds have been won in it’s poker tournaments. The Fox Poker Club membership has grown to over 17,000.
At the end of August the club looks forward to London Calling – a festival of poker over the August Bank Holiday which alongside it’s £500+£40 Main Event offers a £200 Six-Max side event and a £150 Bank Holiday afternoon special. Congratulations to all the winners in this month’s FPC Main Event.

There has been great support for this weekend’s London Calling from the female poker community. The question has to be what has made the Fox Poker Club and London Calling such a welcoming environment?
Dawn C. speculated that perhaps it was today’s Six-Max tournament that attracted such interest: “Lot’s of women poker players prefer to play six-max tournaments and cash games“.
Ellie G. praised the way that Fox Poker Tournaments are professionally run – specifically highlighting the club’s anonymous voting system on deals as a strength: “I saw it in Vegas first and I am so glad that you guys do it here, I don’t usually make comment but it really is a really good thing. No one wants to be the loner who refuses a deal and risk being attacked by the other players“.
Perhaps the Fox Poker Club’s light, secure yet open and welcoming environment dedicated to poker players is what has proved a draw? Whatever the reason we are proud that in today’s Six-Max over 10% of the field was female and hope that the number in tomorrow’s £500+£40 Main Event will be even higher.
