William Dorey APT London Main Event Champion Won £17,130
William Dorey (25) a professional poker player from South London, won the first ever European Leg of the Asian Poker Tour hosted at London’s Fox Poker Club. The £500+£45 Buy-In APT London Main Event coincided with the Chinese New Year celebrations and the start if the year of the Dragon with the club located on the edge of London’s Chinatown.
The APT Main Event poker tournament attracted a packed out field of 125 entries that included Genting Pro Barny Boatman of the Hendon Mob and the cream of the UK poker scene with players such as Romano Pizzo, Steve Watts and Surinder Sunar.
Steve Watts who was the monthly £300+£30 FPC Main Event Champion in April 2011 and recently finished on the final table of WPT Dublin was a runner up in this event. Surinder Sunar also featured on the Final Table along with a strong showing from Anh-Toan Hoang.

The APT London Week of events included a £150 No Limit Hold’em Side Event in which players completed for a prizepool in excess of £10,000. The event ended in a six-way chop including Jen-Yue Chiang, Katt Wang, Ziyang Chang and Barney Koumis, but it was Nadir Keshavjee from Canada who took the top honours.
